The DI Water System circulates the coolant for the Laser Head in order to maintain a constant temperature and optimal laser efficiency. The 24V DC Water Pump directly mounts and is ready for installation right out of the box. The DI Water Pump should only be changed by trained Service Professionals.

AC vs. DC WATER PUMPS
Candela’s GentleLASE Pro was originally designed with an AC 220V DI Water Pump. Later, Candela added alternated circuitry to the Pro lasers for a 24V DC Pump. Extensive Field Reports have shown that the 24V DC Pump is an additional burden on the 24V DC Power Supply. For Candela Pro Lasers, we recommend the AC 220V DI Water Pump because of the extended service life of five to ten years.
If you are changing your failing 24C DC Water Pump after only a couple of years of service, the next DC Pump will likely last no longer. Consider switching to the AC 220V DI Water Pump during your next replacement service.
